Services Offered by Weinstein Security, Inc.
The Training Course offered by WSI is intended to satisfy the 8 hour "Power to Arrest" skills training course required of all applicants for a Security Guard registration with the California Bureau of Security and Investigative Services ("BSIS").  WSI does not issue nor does it have any control over the issuance of a Security Guard license from the BSIS (a "License").  While WSI is a licensed private patrol operator, it is not however, certified as a training facility by the BSIS to provide Firearm or Baton training courses. Once an applicant has passed the initial licensing course and has been fingerprinted, information on licensing status can be found by contacting the BSIS at 800-953-5210.

What to bring to the licensing course
Be prepared to bring a current, valid CA driver's license, your social security number and the final payment of $182 fee in cash or credit card. We DO NOT accept checks. Restrooms and water are available in the facility. Smoking is not allowed in the facility or within 25 feet of the doors & windows of the building. For the shorter 2-day classes, please do not bring food.  For the full-day class, you should bring snacks and/or a bag lunch for the meal breaks. You must be prompt to return from lunch, therefore we recommend you do not leave the area for the 30 minute meal break.  If the weather is nice, there are benches outside to enjoy your lunch.

Refresher Courses are interactive self-study.  No need to come into our facility for a live course. The materials are provided to you and an instructor is available for questions. You return the exam for grading.  Once passed, you will receive a certificate of completion. 

Licensing Courses available Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday
2 Day Courses are from 11am - 3pm each day
Full Day Course is from 9am - 5pm (includes a 30 minute lunch break)
Please provide dates for Part A and Part B that you are available. You must take Part A before Part B.  You may also choose to take the course in one day.  Please complete your 1st and 2nd choice for full day course. An instructor will contact you to make an appointment for your course and answer any questions.

Reservation and Cancellation Policy
There is a $25 non-refundable deposit required in order to reserve your space in class. After completing the registration above, the instructor will contact you and collect your deposit over the phone, by fax, or you may drop it off at our facility. Once the deposit is paid, you may reschedule one time at no charge. Any additional rescheduling will be assessed a $15 non-refundable reschedule fee. The final payment of $182 is due before class begins (you may bring it to class). Once the licensing class begins, the full $207 is non-refundable. Continuing education courses (refresher courses) are non-refundable.
