Onsite BSIS Guard Card Application Processing
Course is given over 2 days, 4 hours each day:
Part A (4 hours) - Powers of Arrest
Part B (4 hours) - Weapons of Mass Destruction & Application Process
This course is for persons interested in becoming security officers in the State of California. The course is required in order to apply for a Guard Card. Applicants must be 18 years of age or older and provide a valid, current CA driver's license along a social security number. Course will include additional instruction in report writing, post orders and the proper way to wear a uniform.

| In addition to the initial licensing, all security officers are to complete an additional 32 hours of training (16 hours within 30 days of the date of licensure or employment and 16 hours within 6 months of the date of licensure or employment). Also, 8 hours of Continuing Education is required every year after the first years. Several self-study, interactive courses are available. Course Schedule, Location, Registration & Payment

The initial licensing courses are available Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday, from 11am - 3pm by appointment. You must register for Part A and Part B. Classes are held at our office in Windsor, CA. Payment of $50 is due before Part A begins. Payment of $132 is due when Part B begins. You may bring payment to the class. Refresher courses are self-study format, require full payment in advance of receiving materials and are non-refundable. Acceptable forms of payment are cash, VISA or Mastercard only. We DO NOT accept checks. Complete our Registration Form in order to make an appointment with one of our instructors. |
